TRUST & PROBATE LITIGATION

As Counsel at Ferruzzo, Morgan Hezlep is a member of the Trust and Probate Litigation Group. She brings over 20 years of experience as a litigator, with an emphasis on contentious Trust and Probate cases.

Morgan brings extensive courtroom and litigation experience to her practice, having tried more than 40 jury trials while serving as a Deputy City Attorney. She now focuses her practice on trusts and estates litigation, representing beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and interested persons in disputes involving breaches of fiduciary duty, accountings, estate distributions, fraud and misrepresentation, will and trust contests, elder abuse, undue influence, and real property claims. In addition to her probate and trust litigation practice, she has a substantial background in complex civil litigation, including breach of contract actions, business disputes, fraud claims, corporate governance and board-member misconduct, self-dealing transactions, business mismanagement, and real estate disputes. Her broad trial and litigation experience allows her to effectively advocate for clients in high-stakes and complex matters both in and out of the courtroom.

Before going to law school, Morgan had a career as a healthcare information systems consultant, installing, debugging, and training on new enterprise-wide software for large multi-million-dollar teaching hospitals and medical groups. This experience honed Morgan’s problem-solving skills and helped her develop a systematic approach to communicating and working with all levels of stakeholders from the end users, to programmers, to C-suite officers. She has been able to parlay this experience to her career as an attorney to effectively communicate and work with clients, fellow attorneys, and judges.

In Morgan’s free time, she likes to do yoga, travel, attend live music performances, and spend time with her family.
